Traffic Monitoring and Site Maintenance

Obtrada offer a comprehensive Multi-point Maintenance Check on inductive loop permanent monitoring that can be carried out on sites regularly or on an ad hoc basis, ensuring minimised down time. 

Many of the traffic counters that utilise permanent induction loops rely on batteries for hardware operation and supplementary solar panels to charge the batteries. Issues arise when there are frequent and sustained periods of poor weather, reduced solar input, damage to loops, animal and human interference amongst other issues. 

Should any issues be diagnosed on site, these can be rectified with replacement, supplementary parts supplied and fitted by our fully trained, Tagmaster Approved site engineers. We can also look after the returning and fixing of older units to manufacturer along with return and install to site.
After all site visits we will provide you with an in-depth service record, this can then be found archived for you on our website where any site photos can also be found.

TRAFFIC MONITORING SITE SERVICE - INCLUDES:

  • Visual Assessment of Cabinet Externally prior to maintenance (with Photos)

  • Visual Assessment of Cabinet Internally prior to maintenance (with Photo)

  • Visual Assessment of in-road loop conditions

  • Clearing of immediate vegetation for access where required and possible

  • Download any existing site data – return file to TagMaster for repair if required

  • External battery health check, voltages noted – Replace with new if required

  • Wiring loom inspection with cleaning of corrosion if required

  • Electrical test of solar panel output

  • Electrical test of solar inverter output (where applicable)

  • Interrogate unit for faults – diagnosing where possible on site. Liaising with TagMaster support for telemetry diagnostics.

  • Re-setting modem – installing updated communication software (later models)

  • Re-set equipment from TagMaster HQ if required, ensuring site left with good connection where possible.

  • Ensure all cabinet locks and hinges are tightened and lubricated

  • Thorough clean of cabinet internally and externally, clearing and applying bug infestation preventatives.

  • Thorough clean of solar panel – with electrical re-test

  • Full written report per site visit identifying current and possible future issues such as rust. 

  • Report covers all works carried out by site technician.
